Sarah McLean,
Location: Sedona, AZ

Sarah McLean is a global go-to teacher for contemporary meditation and mindfulness and has been inspiring people to meditate for over 20 years. She began her personal practice while working at a Transcendental Meditation center in Massachusetts in 1989. That is also where she began studying mind/body health with Deepak Chopra. She worked with him for eight years, relocating to California to serve as the Program Director for the Chopra Center for Wellbeing.

Before settling in Sedona in 2001, Sarah traveled the world studying and practicing meditation techniques and seeking secrets to peace and fulfillment. She’s lived in a traditional ashram in India and was a two year resident at a remote Zen Buddhist Monastery. Sarah founded the McLean Meditation Institute which offers meditation training and the international Meditation Teacher Academy®, a licensed, post-secondary educational facility that trains meditation teachers worldwide.

Sarah is a popular facilitator at retreats for the Chopra Center, Esalen, and many world-class centers. She has been interviewed on national television, featured in a variety of award-winning movies, and her work has been touted in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times. Her best-seller, Soul-Centered: Transform Your Life in 8 Weeks with Meditation (Hay House) inspires study groups worldwide. Her upcoming book, Love & the Power of Attention is due out in January 2017.

With kindness and humor, Sarah will share her secrets to successful meditation and how the meditation path can lead to self-compassion, clear communication, and a more peaceful life.
